Franco Fontana: True Color: @ Robert Klein Gallery (38 Newbury Street)

For over fifty years Fontana has created formalistic photographs that utilize a keen sense of color and compositional balance. While he has tackled numerous subjects during his extensive career, he is best known for his photographs of rural and urban Italian landscapes.

An early practitioner of color photography, Fontana's work has been collected by numerous museums including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, Metropolitan Museum, Tokyo, Ludwig Museum, Cologne, Australian National Gallery, Melbourne, and many others.
